The Seed

Among haze fans, G13 needs no introduction. It is one of the most famous Haze strains and the only one represented in this seed line. G13, also known as 'Government Indica Strain 1', is an indica (haze) dominant hybrid known for its happy and relaxing effect. It has a very piney and earthy taste, so it's great if you like those natural and spicy-tasting strains. According to its fans, G13 is a different kind of cannabis, and it is also a cultivar with a touch of mystery. The true origin of this strain is still unknown. Indeed, it is difficult to trace the origins of legendary strains cultivated between the 1960s and 1990s. At that time, marijuana was completely illegal in the United States, which meant that breeders did not have the chance to keep a full list of genetics and sources of the weed used.

As a best guess, G13 is an indica-dominant (70%) hybrid strain. There is also a suggestion that a grower named G-men bred pure Afghani clones labeled from G1 to G23. While each clone had slightly different characteristics, G13 was reportedly the most stable. Then, a famous Dutch breeder named Neville Schoenmaker got in touch with an unnamed rebellious lab technician who wanted to liberate G13 and received a single sample of this new strain which he spread across the United States.

The Cultivation

Growing G13 is not very challenging. It is a sturdy and robust plant. You can easily super-crop it to get many side branches. It is not sensitive to temperature or nutrients. It will be ready around day 65-70, some phenotypes maybe earlier. We recommend lollipopping to give G13 plenty of free space and good air circulation. It grows so tall that you need to support it during the flowering phase. It is a heavy feeder, so make sure it gets plenty of nitrogen, potassium, and phosphorus.

The Effect

The effects of G13 make it special. It provides a long-lasting and complex high. Depending on the phenotype and flowering time, you can achieve more active or more sedative effects. But in general, G13 gives you that warm, heavy buzz around your forehead, puts a smile on your face, and if you enjoy too much of it, it can bring you into a pleasant couch lock.
