The Eleaf EC2 coils are made with Kanthal wire and organic cotton, ensuring that the cotton is untreated with bleach or other chemicals. These coils are suitable for various tanks, including the Melo 4.

About the resistance

The EC2 coils are available in two resistances. Both coils are best used with e-liquids containing a maximum of 70% VG. Both coils are designed for Direct-Lung vaping, which means you inhale the vapor directly into your lungs, similar to using a water pipe, rather than the way you would inhale from a traditional cigarette.

0.3 ohm
The 0.3 ohm EC2 coil produces slightly less vapor compared to the 0.5 ohm coil. According to the manufacturer, this coil can be vaped between 30 and 80 watts. We recommend not exceeding 45 watts.

0.5 ohm
The 0.5 ohm EC2 coil can be vaped at a slightly higher wattage than the 0.3 ohm coil. The manufacturer states that this coil can be used between 30 and 100 watts. Our advice is not to exceed 55 watts with this coil.

About the coils

The EC2 coils are made with Kanthal wire and organic cotton. They are not suitable for temperature control vaping. The use of organic cotton prevents any unwanted flavors or tastes. Additionally, the cotton is not bleached or treated with chemicals.

The coils are designed for Direct-Lung vaping, where you inhale the vapor directly into your lungs, similar to using a water pipe. They are not intended for the mouth-to-lung vaping style that is more similar to traditional cigarette smoking. Depending on usage, the coils should be replaced after 1 to 2 weeks when you notice a decrease in flavor or a burnt taste.

Using the Eleaf EC2 Coils

To install a coil, simply screw it into the base of the tank. Be careful not to overtighten it, as snug is sufficient. Before using a new coil for the first time, it's recommended to prepare it by applying a few drops of e-liquid directly onto the cotton. Once the cotton is saturated, fill the tank with e-liquid. Let the tank sit for approximately 5 minutes before using it to ensure proper wicking.

When using a new coil, always start at a low wattage. For the EC2 coils, it is recommended to start at 30 watts and gradually increase to your desired wattage. This will help prolong the lifespan of the coils.
