The Heating Chamber of the Firefly 2+

The Firefly 2+ features a unique heating chamber compared to most portable vaporizers. It uses convection heating instead of the conventional conduction method. This means that the device reaches the desired temperature within seconds. You can adjust the temperature in two ways: using the buttons on the device itself or utilizing the Firefly app on your phone. If you choose to adjust the temperature on the device, you have seven pre-set temperature options. Please note that the app is not compatible with Apple phones as Apple has blocked the app. In addition to dry herbs, the Firefly 2+ is also capable of vaporizing concentrates using the included concentrate pads. For solid concentrates, a rice grain-sized amount is recommended, while for liquid concentrates, 2 to 3 drops are sufficient. Avoid using excessive concentrate, as it may leak through the concentrate pad and into the chamber.

The Battery of the Firefly 2+

The Firefly 2+ is equipped with a removable 770mAh lithium-ion battery. Despite its relatively small capacity, the innovative firmware allows the battery to last for approximately 5 sessions before requiring a recharge. The battery can be easily charged using the included charging dock, and it takes about 45 minutes for a full recharge.

Using the Firefly 2+ – How Does It Work?

Prior to using the Firefly 2+, it's important to set the desired temperature. This can be done quickly and easily through the app. However, if you don't have access to the app or your phone doesn't support it, you can also adjust the temperature directly on the Firefly device. Here's how: hold down the right button on the Firefly and press the left button three times quickly. The device will enter temperature setting mode, and the LED indicator between 1 and 7 will indicate the current temperature setting. To change the setting, press the left button again, and then adjust the temperature by pressing the button between 1 and 7 times. The seventh and highest setting is specifically for concentrates and not intended for dry herbs. Once the desired temperature is set, you can fill the heating chamber. When the chamber is filled, you're ready to start vaporizing. Simply hold down the left and right buttons and begin inhaling. The Firefly is designed for approximately 10-second draws. Due to its rapid heat-up time, you'll experience a gradual increase in temperature throughout the draw, ensuring you extract all the different compounds from your chosen herbs without any loss.
