The heated chamber of the Firefly 2+

The chamber of the Firefly 2+ is different from most portable vaporizers. The Firefly 2+ is one of the few portable vaporizers that uses convection instead of the usual conduction method of heating. Because the Firefly 2+ uses convection, the device reaches the set temperature within seconds. The temperature can be set in 2 ways, either using the buttons on the device itself or by using the Firefly app on the phone. If you use the device to set the temperature, you have a choice of 7 standard settings. Please note that the app will not work with Apple phones as Apple has blocked this app! In addition to herbs, the Firefly 2+ can also vaporize concentrates, for which you use the included concentrate pads. For solid concentrates, a piece the size of a grain of rice is the recommended amount, for liquid concentrates this is 2 to 3 drops. Never use too much concentrate at once, as this can cause the concentrate to seep through the concentrate pad and into the chamber.

The battery of the Firefly 2+

The Firefly 2+ uses a removable Lithium-Ion battery with a capacity of 770mAh. Despite the relatively small battery capacity, the battery lasts for about 5 sessions due to the innovative firmware before it needs to be recharged. The battery is recharged using the included charging dock, and is fully charged in about 45 minutes.

Using the Firefly 2+ - how do you actually do this?

Before using the Firefly 2+, it is important to set the right temperature, which you can easily and quickly do via the app. Don't have the app or have a phone that does not support the app? Then you can of course also set the temperature via the Firefly itself. The setting works as follows: press and hold the right button of the Firefly and press the left button 3 times quickly. The device is now in temperature setting mode, the LED blinks between 1 and 7 times, indicating the current temperature setting of the Firefly. To change the setting, press the left button again, then by pressing the button between 1 and 7 times you can set the temperature. The seventh and highest setting is specially for concentrates and not intended for herbs. Once the right setting is chosen, the chamber can be filled. Once the chamber is filled, you are ready to vaporize. Press and hold the left and right buttons and you can start inhaling, the Firefly is designed to take approximately 10-second long pulls, due to the fast heating time you start inhaling at chamber temperature and go through all temperatures until the chosen temperature is reached. This ensures that you receive all the different components of the selected herbs and nothing is lost.
