package-checkmark Product Information

Cola Nut is a nut that originates from West Africa and has been used there for a very long time for its potentially invigorating and hunger-suppressing effects similar to those of coffee. Traditionally, the nut is used in rituals where it was offered to important guests. In 1911, the kola nut suddenly became known due to the confiscation of about forty barrels of kola nuts and about twenty barrels of Coca-Cola syrup by the American government, which claimed that the caffeine in the drink would be very harmful to health. The American government filed a lawsuit against Coca-Cola to ensure that the company would remove caffeine from the soft drink. The American government lost the lawsuit, however, in 1912 two laws were passed that resulted in caffeine being listed as a harmful substance and the mandatory disclosure of the presence of caffeine in beverages.

Effects of Indian Elements Cola Nut

Cola Nut has a bitter taste and contains Caffeine. Especially in West Africa, the nut is used for its stimulating properties, increasing concentration, and potential hunger-suppressing effects. In addition, the nut is used in the treatment of people with asthma, as the caffeine in the nut is said to help open up the airways, making breathing easier.

How are these herbs used?

Cola Nut is generally used to make a tea, and it is also used as an addition in, for example, a smoothie. To make the tea, 1 to 2 teaspoons of powder are added to water, simmered gently for 10 to 15 minutes, and then the tea is strained.

Manufacturer information

Indian Elements is one of the first herbal brands from Dutch soil. The brand Indian Elements was established in 2003 because there were not many herbs or herbal blends available in smaller quantities of good quality. They started their own search abroad for high-quality herbs at fair prices. When the demand for these herbs grew, Indian Elements expanded their range. This has made Indian Elements one of the most well-known brands from our Dutch soil.
