The Indian Spirit African Dream Root is the root of the Silene Capensis, a plant that naturally occurs in the Eastern Cape of South Africa. The roots have been used there for centuries by the indigenous Xhosa tribe during various rituals. In the west, the plant is also known as bush tea plant or African Dream Root.
