Indian Spirit Dream Herb

Calea Zacatechichi, also known as dream herb, is part of the Asteraceae family and therefore related to sunflowers and daisies. In the wild, dream herb can be found in Mexico and parts of Central America. Dream herb was traditionally used by Mexican shamans to receive divine messages during their dreams.

Effects of Indian Spirit Dream Herb

Dream herb is associated with vivid and clear dreams, it may also help induce lucid dreams. A lucid dream is essentially a dream in which you are aware that you are dreaming.

How are these herbs used?

Generally, a tea is made from dream herb. Pour half a liter of hot water over 3 to 5 grams of dried leaves and let it steep for 15 minutes. The taste is described as quite bitter and usually some sugar or honey is added to make the taste more pleasant. The effect may become stronger if repeated for several days (3 to 7) in a row. The ideal vaporization temperature is around 190°C.
