Product Information
Rapé is a traditional snuff from the Amazon rainforest, made from various herbs and used by different tribes. It is used in shamanic rituals and has both medicinal and spiritual properties. The specific effects of Rapé depend on the exact recipe used in its preparation, and even the time of harvesting the herbs can influence its quality and characteristics.
Effects of Shamanita Rapé Kuntanawa Kapaxanba
This specific Rapé variant is made by a member of the Kuntanawa tribe and contains ash from the Sapota tree, Kapaxanba, and Lourinho. The unique character of this Rapé comes from the herb Lourinho, which gives it a pleasant fresh scent. Another local herb from the region used in this blend is Kapaxanba, also known as Samsara, with a very distinctive and delightful fragrance.
This exclusive Rapé is highly aromatic and has powerful cleansing and liberating properties. It induces sneezing, which cleanses the head of negative energies, making it a great start for any shamanic ceremony.
Note: A new batch may vary in effects, taste, and consistency compared to previous batches.
Who are the Kuntanawa tribe?
The Kuntanawa tribe was almost extinct due to the slaughter during the rubber boom cycle. Since the early 2000s, a small group of Kuntanawa people has reclaimed their indigenous heritage, but their culture is still threatened. There are only about 250 members left, scattered in the Acre region of Brazil. The Kuntanawa organize festivals to share their traditions, rituals, and culture. They place great value on the ritual use of Ayahuasca and believe it will reveal their ancient knowledge and partially restore lost traditions. Unfortunately, their language appears to be irretrievably lost. How is Rapé used?
Rapé is traditionally blown into the nostrils by a shaman or medicine man using a special blowpipe. The person undergoing the ritual tries not to breathe through the nose during the ceremony so that the herbal mixture remains in the nasal cavity to do its work. There are also blowpipes available, called Kuripe, which allow individuals to blow Rapé into their own nostrils and come in various designs.
