SMOK Mini V2 Coils

About the Resistance

The SMOK Mini V2 coils are available in three resistances. The number in the name indicates how many coils are in the coil head. All coils utilize mesh! The perforated kanthal (mesh) heats up evenly and quickly.

A1
The A1 coil features a single large mesh coil. The kanthal is fully in contact with the cotton, prioritizing flavor over vapor production.

The resistance is 0.17 ohm, and it is recommended to vape between 110 and 130 watts. The total wattage range according to SMOK is between 90 and 140 watts. The A1 coil is suitable for e-liquids that are maxed out with VG. The coil has an indicator for the required minimum amount of e-liquid.

A2
The A2 coil has two mesh coils in the coil head, resulting in a more spacious airflow. The increased airflow allows for more vapor production. The cotton has additional openings for e-liquid flow.

The resistance is 0.2 ohm, and it is best to vape between 85 and 105 watts. The total wattage range according to SMOK is between 70 and 120 watts. Do not use e-liquids that contain more than 70% VG. The coil has an indicator for the required minimum amount of e-liquid.

A3
The A3 coil features three mesh coils in the coil head, providing ample airflow and producing abundant vapor. This coil also has the highest e-liquid consumption.

The resistance is 0.15 ohm, and it is recommended to vape between 100 and 120 watts. According to SMOK, the total wattage range is between 80 and 130 watts. Similarly, with this coil, it is best to use an e-liquid containing no more than 70% VG.

About the Coils

All mesh used in these coils is made of kanthal. Due to the high wattage required by these coils, they are only suitable for Direct-Lung vaping.

Using the Mini V2 Coils

These coils contain a significant amount of cotton, so it is recommended to prepare the coil before the first use. Drip e-liquid on all visible cotton areas until it is saturated before installing the coil. This is known as "priming" the coil. Install the coil by screwing it into the bottom of your tank. Do not overtighten it, just tighten it enough. After filling the tank, you can start vaping with the coil. Always start with a low wattage for the first few puffs.

The coil should be replaced after 1 to 2 weeks. If you taste a burnt cotton flavor, it's time to replace the coil. This can be caused by aging, too much VG in your e-liquid, or using a wattage that is too high. Never vape your tank completely dry!
