SMOK Nord Coils

About the Resistance

There are four different resistances available for the SMOK Nord Kit or Nord 2 Kit. Pay attention to the maximum VG content for each type of coil, as this is related to the thickness of the e-liquid.

0.6 Ohm Mesh
The 0.6 ohm mesh coil is a sub-ohm coil that produces the most vapor. The coils can be used between 15W - 20W and are best suited for e-liquids with a maximum of 50% VG.

0.8 Ohm Mesh MTL
The 0.8 ohm MTL coil is a Mouth-To-Lung coil that mimics the draw of a traditional cigarette. The coils can be used between 13W - 16W and are suitable for e-liquids with a maximum of 50% VG.

1.4 Ohm
The 1.4 ohm MTL coil is a Mouth-To-Lung coil that mimics the draw of a traditional cigarette. These coils are best used between 10W - 12W. They are suitable for e-liquids with a maximum of 70% VG.

1.4 Ohm Ceramic
The 1.4 ohm MTL coil is a Mouth-To-Lung coil that mimics the draw of a traditional cigarette. These coils are best used between 10W - 12W. They are suitable for e-liquids with a maximum of 50% VG.

About the Coils

The coils are made of kanthal wire. The 0.6 ohm and 0.8 ohm coils have a mesh variant, while the 1.4 ohm coil is a standard kanthal coil. Depending on the coil you choose, a specific inhalation method is recommended. The 0.6 ohm Mesh coil is a sub-ohm coil designed for direct-to-lung vaping. The 0.8 ohm and 1.4 ohm MTL coils are standard kanthal coils designed for mouth-to-lung vaping, similar to the draw of a traditional cigarette. These coils can also be used in the SMOK Nord 2 Kit.

A coil typically lasts between 1 to 2 weeks before it needs to be replaced.

Using SMOK Nord Coils

Before installing the coil, it is recommended to prime it by adding a few drops of e-liquid to the top of the coil. This helps prevent the coil from burning when used for the first time. Insert the coil at the bottom of the pod. There is no need to tighten the coil.
