The Sony VTC6 is an 18650 mod battery. The battery has a capacity of 3000 mAh. The maximum discharge capacity is 30 amperes, making it highly suitable for high wattages (80 watts and above). It is also one of the better batteries to use for mechanical mods.
About charging
Never charge a mod battery via a USB port, but always use an external charger (such as the one from Nitecore). An external charger charges your battery more safely and effectively. Additionally, using an external charger prevents damage to your mod from prolonged exposure to heat.
Safety
Mod batteries are powerful batteries and require more attention than your standard batteries. Always check if your mod is damaged before using it. If you notice any damage to the mod battery, do not use it! Damaged batteries can pose dangerous situations.
If you want to carry mod batteries with you, make sure to keep them in a case or box. Never carry them loose in your pocket or bag! When a mod battery comes into contact with metal, it starts to discharge, which should be avoided at all times!
