Interested in ordering a plastic grinder? We're happy to explain what a plastic grinder is and what you can expect from plastic grinders. Generally, a plastic grinder is a pretty handy device that allows you to easily crush larger amounts of, for example, cannabis flowers or other herbs. With a plastic grinder, you can crush your cannabis to the same consistency every time, making rolling the perfect joint even easier. Additionally, you can also use a plastic grinder effectively to grind cannabis or other herbs to the right size for use in a vaporizer!
How does a plastic grinder actually work?
A plastic grinder often consists of two layers, both layers equipped with teeth on the inside. These teeth move closely past each other, quickly and easily crushing the material to the right size. The two halves of the grinder fit together well and are usually held firmly together by a convenient magnet, so the plastic grinder only opens when you want it to.

As mentioned earlier, most plastic grinders consist of 2 layers, but that doesn't mean there aren't plastic grinders with 3 or even 4 layers! Generally, it can be assumed that a plastic grinder with more layers also offers more features. Consider, for example, the three-layer plastic grinder, which has a handy storage compartment for your cannabis, or the four-layer plastic grinder, which, in addition to a cannabis storage compartment, also has a separate compartment for the kief. Below, we have listed the differences between the various plastic grinders for you.
• One of the most common types of plastic grinders is the two-layer plastic grinder. These are fairly simple grinders that, as the name suggests, consist of two halves. You can place cannabis flowers in here and turn the two parts a few times to crush the cannabis.
• A three-layer plastic grinder can have compartments both at the top and bottom where you can store the cannabis. If the compartment is attached to the bottom of the grinder, the crushed product falls into the compartment where it is ready until you need it. If the third layer is on top, you can empty the crushed material into the upper part of the grinder once it's done. Here, you can then store the cannabis or herbs until you need them.
• There are even four-layer plastic grinders! The selection of these 4-piece plastic grinders may be smaller, but they definitely exist! A plastic grinder with 4 layers contains a compartment below the grinding area where the finely crushed cannabis is collected. The bottom part of this compartment consists of a trichome filter, through which the kief can be separated from the cannabis. The kief is then collected in the lower part of the grinder.
